Landscaping the City

I am working with the idea that a drawing or painting of a city landscape can somehow hold the memories of many eras of people who have lived and worked there as well as hope for the future perhaps, and at the same time reflect my experience of the place now.

I started doing this within the context of Dave LeRue's Landscaping the City class that he designed and presented at the Pointe-Saint-Charles Art School. And I just can't stop! I continue to work with my artists friends at the Pointe-Saint-Charles Art School sketching the Point at our outdoor club d'art and turning some of them into paintings.
